Why does the article state several times that the stator extracts or adds work? This seems to be an unusual definition of work, since energy must be conserved across the stator. Could this be clarified in the article? JBel (talk) 01:40, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Defining assumptions

[edit]

The article doesn't seem to specifiy its assumptions well. The meridional velocity (V_f in this notation) is assumed constant, but it is not stated for which of the equations this assumption was made. I could fix that, if no one objects. --129.247.247.239 (talk) 12:49, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Velocity triange.

[edit]

The vectors are all wrong. The illustrator doesn't get the point of how this is used to understand how the flow properties must change depending on the geometry. Please replace this with a correctly drawn image. In the mean time, it is probably best to delete the image. 2600:1700:FFD0:BBA0:9C2D:98B0:5E9B:3BC6 (talk) 15:23, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
